This October, I was blessed to be chosen on behalf of the Graduate Programs to represent CSULB at the Annual Prospanica Conference. Prospanica is an organization devoted to empowering Hispanic individuals to succeed in their fields. High-level positions are not typically held by minorities and Prospanica hopes to help change that. This conference created a space for attendees to sharpen their networking skills and connect with like-minded individuals. The audience included MBA students from across the US, business professionals and corporate recruiters. As a first-generation Latina, the success stories from the wide range of Latinx speakers hit home for me. This conference gave me confidence and hope for the future of Hispanics in business. I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to participate.
